IDENTITY

Last week I attended in theater to listen about program which explain Emirate identity .First, the speaker started to tell us what’s mean identity and how we can know if this person is local or not. However, he shows some picture from different countries, and he asked us to tell him from which countries they come .In fact, we recognized all of them from their clothes, after that the speaker mentions to language and it’s the most important for emirates society due to the teens now prefer speak English than Arabic so our language may disappears after many years. In my opinion I think learn another language is important because it helps us to communicate with other people but that didn’t mean forget our language. In addition, one girl stands up and she said to speaker , she has emirate nationality but she can’t speak Arabic because she is from different country. That put me in front of new issues which make me belief the real identity doesn’t mean just language or clothes but our feeling to our country and society.
